Marian Rivera, Dingdong Dantes donate over 700 relief packs for Typhoon Carina victims

Marian Rivera and Dingdong Dantes donated more than 700 relief packs to the GMA Kapuso Foundation as part of the relief operations to help communities affected by Super Typhoon Carina and the Southwest Monsoon (Habagat).

According Aubrey Carampel's report on "Balitanghali," Friday, Marian repacked the relief goods at home with her family before personally turning these over with Dingdong at the GMA Kapuso Foundation warehouse.

"Maraming salamat dun sa mga nagbigay para at least makakalap kami ng ganung kadaming bag para maibigay natin at ma-distribute natin sa mga kababayan natin," said Marian in a report aired on "24 Oras," Friday night.

"We decided to turn over everything dito sa GMA Kapuso Foundation kasi alam naman natin na GMA Kapuso Foundation is parati nauuna pagdating sa mga sites, sa ganitong klaseng mga sakuna," said Dingdong.

On Instagram Stories, Marian shared scenes from their repacking activity at home. Daughter Zia and son Sixto joined Marian in the repacking, as well as their household staff, fashion stylists Melville Sy and Shark Tanael, and more.

Sparkle stars have likewise volunteered their services to repack relief goods at GMA Kapuso Foundation, while proceeds from the recently held GMA Gala 2024 have also been diverted for the benefit of communities affected by the calamity.

Metro Manila, Bataan, Bulacan, Batangas, and Cavite were placed under a state of calamity this week amid heavy rainfall and massive flooding brought by Typhoon Carina and the Habagat.
