Barbie Forteza thanks style team for 'Cinderella moment come true' at GMA Gala 2024

There's no doubt that Barbie Forteza was among the best-dressed at the recently held GMA Gala 2024.

The Kapuso Primetime Princess was a vision as she arrived solo on the red carpet last Saturday night, wearing a white ball gown with dainty flower embroideries.

Barbie's recent post on Instagram, however, would show that her look at GMA Gala 2024 isn't as effortless as it seems.

The Kapuso actress took her time to thank her style team, assistant, and photographer for making sure she looked picture-perfect for the event.

"When we say, 'it takes a village' it truly does. I’d like to take this chance to thank my team for helping make my dream of having my Cinderella moment come true at this year’s GMA Gala," she wrote.

"My overall look was delicately planned by Team Barbie. From the outfit to the hair and make up. Thank you, My Fairy Godmothers [Janra Raroque], [Toni Aviles], [Fatima Mercado]," she added.

Barbie also did not forget to thank photographer Melody Santos of Melle Studio Philippines for capturing her every moment.

"Lastly to my ate [Diana Evangelista] who've assisted me all night and made sure I'm safe and having fun," said Barbie. "Thank you all so much."

Barbie's breathtaking white ball gown is the masterpiece of designer Mak Tumang. She said during the gala that her gown is an ode to her upcoming GMA series "Pulang Araw."

"[It] symbolizes the new look of 1947, which celebrated the newfound peace after the war," she said then. "There are Sakura branches [in the gown], but the flowers are Sampaguita to merge Japan and the Philippines."

"Pulang Araw," written by Suzette Doctolero and directed by Dominic Zapanta, is set to premiere on Netflix on July 26 and on television on July 29.

Aside from Barbie, other cast members include David Licauco, Alden Richards, Dennis Trillo, and Sanya Lopez.
