How is Carla Abellana's heart after her failed marriage?

In an interview with GMA News Online, the "Widows' War" star said that her heart is in a happy state right now.

"Thankfully, it's still alive and beating. But yes, masaya siya," she shared at the sidelines of the GMA Gala 2024 in the Marriott Manila Hotel in Pasay City on Saturday night.

"Naalagaan na nang mabuti and napaka-valuable and precious," Carla added. 

Earlier this month, the Sparkle actress confirmed that her divorce with ex-husband Tom Rodriguez is now recognized by the Philippine court.

"We are divorced, recognized na po 'yan ng korte, local court po natin dito," she shared in "Fast Talk With Boy Abunda" episode.

She added that she has no updates about her ex-husband and that they do not communicate anymore. She also shared that she harbors no hatred towards Tom, saying that life is too short and one cannot fully move on if one holds on to anger.

Carla and Tom got married in October 2021 after being in a relationship for seven years. In 2022, Tom announced in a statement through his talent manager Popoy Caritativo that he and Carla had already divorced.

In September 2023, Carla shared that she has moved on from Tom.

At this year's GMA Gala, Carla was a sight to behold in a sparkling gold sequined dress and matched it with gorgeous jewelry. She currently stars in "Widows' War" with Bea Alonzo.
