Miss World Philippines 2024 unveils new crown for titleholder

A new crown will be bestowed upon the next Miss World Philippines!

On Instagram, jeweler Oro China Jewelry shared an up-close look of the Miss World Philippines 2024 crown, called “Rays of Hope," which is encrusted with almost 400 blue sapphires and nearly 300 freshwater pearls.

As seen in the post, the new crown is adorned with luminous pearls that represent “inner strength that shine through adversity.” The sapphire stones, meanwhile, symbolize “courage and steadfast determination.”

“May the ‘Rays of Hope’ serve as a beacon of inspiration, reminding us that even in the face of challenges, hope illuminates our path forward,” it added.

The coronation night of the Miss World 2024 pageant will be happening on July 19, Friday, at the Mall of Asia Arena.

Earlier, the Miss World Philippines announced the finalists for their National Costume, Miss Charity, and Multimedia competitions.

In the past couple of weeks, Miss World Philippines also released the finalists of different fast-track challenges.

Back in late June, the Top 10 finalists of the Sports Fast-Track Challenge and the Top 12 finalists of the Beach Beauty Competition were announced, while the Top 10 finalists of Beauty With A Purpose Competition, the Top 3 finalists of the Head-to-Head Challenge, and the Top 5 finalists of the Talent Fast-Track Challenge were announced early this month.

The Miss World Philippines 2024 is looking to be a fun-filled event with performances from Johnoy Danao, the Manila Philharmonic Orchestra, P-pop boy group BILIB, P-pop girl group KAIA, and Pinoy pop-rock band The Juans.

The coronation night will be hosted by Billy Crawford and Universal Woman 2024 Maria Gigante, together with Teejay Marquez and Reina Hispanoamericana Filipinas 2021 Emmanuelle Vera.

Aside from these performances, reigning Miss World Krystyna Pyszková of Czechia will also grace the coronation night. In fact, she just arrived in the country, together with Miss World CEO Julia Morley.

Reigning Miss World Philippines Gwendolyne Fourniol will crown her successor, who will compete at the Miss World pageant next year.

Aside from the Miss World Philippines crown, the pageant will award another two crowns: Reina Hispanoamericana Filipinas and Miss Philippines Tourism.
