SB19 proves vocal prowess anew with 'MAPA' performance on 'First Take'
SB19 is back on "First Take" with a heartfelt performance of their emotional song, "MAPA."
Ken, Justin, Josh, Pablo, and Stell expressed nervousness at the beginning of the video, but they all proved their live vocal prowess once they started singing.
After their performance, they all shyly asked each other how they did.
"It's really good experience to be here. Amazing," Stell said.
"MAPA" is one of the tracks of SB19's 2021 EP, "Pagsibol." It is a song dedicated to mothers and fathers.
Its lyric video recently reached a milestone after hitting 100 million views on YouTube.
Previously, SB19 made history as the first Filipino act to grace "First Take," a Japanese YouTube channel whose concept is all about performing a song on a single take.
They sang a flawless version of their 2023 viral song, "GENTO," which already has 2.3 million views and over 30,000 comments as of writing.
SB19 recently collaborated with Ian Asher and Terry Zhong for their single "Moonlight." They also collaborated with Black Eyed Peas member Apl.de.ap for the song "Ready."
The group will release a documentary film about their "PAGTATAG!" era on August 28 in Philippine cinemas.
