MJ Lastimosa says her Binibining Pilipinas 2024 gown is ‘the redemption’ of her unforgettable NatCos
MJ Lastimosa is back with a vengeance!
On Instagram, the Miss Universe Philippines 2014 shared one of her gowns as a host on the coronation night of this year’s Binibining Pilipinas pageant.
In the caption, MJ said that her gown was the glow-up version of her national costume when she competed in Miss Universe 2014.
“A decade later, the redemption,” MJ wrote.
Designed by Filipina fashion designer Bonita Penaranda, the gown featured a structural corset top with flower accents similar to the hues of her national costume and was paired with a white figure-hugging skirt.
As of late, whenever a pageant and festival are happening in and out of the country, MJ's photo of her wearing her national costume resurfaces on the internet, which the beauty queen warmly welcomes by riding on the joke.
Myrna Esguerra of Abra was crowned Binibining Pilipinas International 2024 during Sunday's coronation night.
Meanwhile, Jasmin Bungay of Pampanga was hailed as Binibining Pilipinas Globe 2024.
