Lara Quigaman looks back on Binibining Pilipinas International win as pageant marks 60th year anniversary

It's been almost twenty years since Precious Lara Quigaman won the Binibining Pilipinas International crown.

On Instagram, the actress and beauty queen looked back on her reign along with some throwback photos from her homecoming when she won the Miss International crown in 2005.

"As @bbpilipinasofficial celebrates 60 years of empowering and celebrating Filipinas, I am filled with gratitude and pride," Lara began in the caption.

"Today, as a member of the executive committee, I am honored to support and uplift an organization that has given me so much!" the Filipina beauty queen said.

Despite not being able to attend the coronation night on Sunday, Lara said that she will be cheering on all her fellow queens and the new queens that will be crowned.

"Continue to shine and inspire!" she said.

Ending her post, she expressed gratitude to the Binibining Pilipinas Organization and its Chairman Stella Marquez Araneta for inspiring and empowering countless women, including her.

"Here's to many more years of making dreams come true!" Lara said.

Lara was the third Filipina to win the Miss International crown following Aurora Pijuan in 1970 and Melanie Marquez in 1979.

Aside from being an actress and beauty queen, Lara is a loving mom to her three sons with husband Marco Alcaraz.
