Miss International 2023 Andrea Rubio says a lot of the Binibining Pilipinas queens are stand-outs
Miss International 2023 Andrea Rubio is in awe of the Binibining Pilipinas queens!
In a media roundtable in Quezon City on Friday, the beauty queen told the press that “a lot of them” are stand-outs and that she was able to meet them during rehearsals.
“I saw them doing the opening. So I saw them dancing [and] given all the steps they had. I had the opportunity to talk to them and they are really excited,” the Venezuelan beauty queen said.
Andrea added that the queens were also nervous for the coronation, and so she gave them some simple words of encouragement.
“They are very anxious. And I put myself into their spot, and of course there are [thoughts] that you don't know what is going to happen. But I just told them to have fun, to enjoy this was once-in-a-lifetime experience,” Andrea said.
Andrea arrived in Manila on Wednesday evening. Binibining Pilipinas said she will have a 'significant role' in awarding the 60th Binibining International crown.
She was welcomed by Filipina beauty queens, Bb. Pilipinas International 2023 Angelica Lopez, Miss International 2023 3rd Runner Up Nicole Borromeo, and Miss International 2013 Bea Santiago.
The Binibining Pilipinas 2024 coronation night is happening on July 7 at the Smart Araneta Coliseum.
In early June, the organization revealed the new crowns and bigger prizes for this year's winners.
Former Binibini queens Catriona Gray, Kylie Verzosa, MJ Lastimosa, and Nicole Cordoves, as well as Ruffa Gutierrez, will serve as hosts on the grand coronation. P-pop group SB19, Gary Valenciano, and Martin Nievera will also perform at the event. —JCB, GMA Integrated News
