Miss International 2023 Andrea Rubio has some wise advice for her successor

Miss International 2023 Andrea Rubio is now in Manila for the Binibining Pilipinas pageant, and she is so excited about it.

The 25-year-old Venezuelan stunner will have a special participation in awarding the 60th Binibining Pilipinas International crown.

In a media roundtable in Quezon City on Friday, GMA News Online asked the beauty queen about the advice she would give to the next Miss International 2024, given that her reign ends in November.

“I would definitely say just be yourself and try to enjoy this opportunity to be an ambassador of Japan,” Andrea said.

Miss International is a Japan-based pageant, and the beauty queen added that her successor will have “the best experience of their life” in the beautiful country.

“Work hard, be yourself, and be authentic,” Andrea added.

She also gave important tips regarding social media and fame.

“To the next Miss International, try not to get crazy with all these Instagram comments, and all the you know, the craziness that happens on social media. I think there are more important things than that,” she said.

Andrea would also tell the next queen to keep their goals in mind, to represent the Miss International pageant in the best way, and “to be focusing on giving the best for the organization.”

“Always be respectful in every single trip. And learn a lot, girl. You're gonna have a lot of fun.”

Following her arrival on Wednesday evening, Andrea was welcomed by Filipina beauty queens, Bb. Pilipinas International 2023 Angelica Lopez, Miss International 2023 3rd Runner Up Nicole Borromeo, and Miss International 2013 Bea Santiago.

The Binibining Pilipinas 2024 coronation night is happening on July 7 at the Smart Araneta Coliseum.

In early June, the organization revealed the new crowns and bigger prizes for this year's winners.

Former Binibini queens Catriona Gray, Kylie Verzosa, MJ Lastimosa, and Nicole Cordoves, as well as Ruffa Gutierrez, will serve as hosts on the grand coronation. P-pop group SB19, Gary Valenciano, and Martin Nievera will also perform at the event. —JCB, GMA Integrated News
