Kayla Jean Carter appointed as new Miss Charm Philippines 2024
The Miss Philippines Organization has found a new Miss Charm Philippines 2024.
On Instagram, the organization announced the appointment of Kayla Jean Carter as the country’s representative in the upcoming Miss Charm competition happening on August 24 in the United States.
The 27-year-old Fil-Am beauty queen was among those who competed at the recent Miss Universe Philippines pageant, representing the Filipino community in Northern California.
“She was one of the 10 delegates who competed for 4 titles in The Miss Philippines. She was one of the highest ranking delegates who was eligible for the titles and agreed to be considered for The Miss Philippines. In the case of the Miss Charm representative, she also needed to already possess a US Visa in order to compete in the US,” the organization said.
It continued, “As fate would have it, the Miss Charm Philippines 2024 slot was vacated and needed a new representative. As one of the highest ranking delegates who meets all other requirements, Carter was easily the best choice. Not having to worry about securing a US Visa meant that she could immediately focus on planning and preparation for the competition.”
Kayla’s appointment came a month after Krishnah Gravidez withdrew her candidacy for Miss Charm International 2024.
Krishnah is now among the candidates vying for the Miss World Philippines 2024 crown.
