60,000 students across 25 provinces to receive school supplies from GMA Kapuso Foundation

The new academic year is nearing. As Filipino students gear up to go back to school, GMA Kapuso Foundation is also preparing for the upcoming school year as it is set to distribute complete school supplies to students nationwide.

According to "24 Oras," Friday, over 60,000 students in 25 provinces across Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao, are set to receive school supplies from the foundation under its Unang Hakbang sa Kinabukasan Project. For 28 years, the Unang Hakbang sa Kinabukasan Project has been distributing school supplies to students in far-flung areas nationwide

In the past year, the foundation distributed school supplies to some Hanunuo Mangyan students in Oriental Mindoro, among others. Per the report, some Hanunuo Mangyan students have resorted to using sacks for their things, so they were given new school bags through the foundation.

Volunteer repackers from various institutions, as well as donors, partners, and sponsors, are now preparing the school supplies for distribution, which will benefit kindergarten and first grade students.

To support the Unang Hakbang sa Kinabukasan Project and other projects under GMA Kapuso Foundation, donations may be made via Metrobank, Land Bank, BDO, Bank of Commerce, UnionBank, PNB, Cebuana Lhuillier, GCash, Lazada, and Shopee. Go here for more information.
