Glaiza De Castro spent a productive weekend by participating in a tree-nurturing activity at the Masungi Georeserve.

On Instagram, the Kapuso actress shared some snaps from the “Punla ng Pag-Asa” activity at the geopark located in Rizal.

“Glad to be back @masungigeoreserve to participate in #PunlaNgPagasa. Another Masungi Geopark project that aims to preserve and protect rainforests in Rizal,” Glaiza wrote.

“This time we got to nurture some trees and meet a community of people that share the same passion for saving trees against corruption and greed that is unfortunately still apparent today illegal logging, land grabbing and other selfish acts that disrupt our ecosystem,” she added.

Ending her post, the actress expressed gratitude to the Masungi administration for raising awareness in protecting the “beautiful environment.”

“Thank you for making me aware of the amazing work you do and that still needs done to protect this beautiful environment,” she ended.

“Punla ng Pag-Asa,” a special group tree-nurturing activity that was held in celebration of Environment Month and the Rizal Founding Anniversary, is part of the mission to restore denuded land around the 2,700-hectare Masungi Georeserve.

The Masungi Georeserve is a conservation area and a rustic rock garden tucked in the rainforests of Rizal. It is home to more than 400 documented species of flora and fauna, one of which is the Jurassic Plant, a rare plant only found in Luzon.

Meanwhile, Glaiza is set to return as Pirena in the "Encantadia" spin-off series "Sang'gre."

Currently, she is part of "Running Man Philippines" Season 2, which airs Saturdays and Sundays at 7:15 p.m.

She also has an upcoming movie with Rhian Ramos.

Glaiza has been married to David Rainey since 2021. They had two wedding ceremonies: one in Northern Ireland and another in Zambales.
