Pride PH to hold thanksgiving event at Quezon City Memorial Circle on Sunday

Love Laban 2 Everyone, or the Pride PH Festival, is set to hold a thanksgiving event at the Quezon City Memorial Circle on Sunday, June 30 from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m.

The organization promises an event that the LGBTQIA+ community, allies, partner organizations, barangay Pride councils, sponsors, performers, and other individuals can fight for equality for all.

“LoveLaban tayong muli para tapusin ang ating nasimulan, at gamiting simula ang ating mga napagtagumpayan para sa mas malaking laban para sa #SOGIEEqualityBill,” Pride PH said on Instagram.

“Buo ang ating loob na tapusin ang buwan na ito dala ang mas pinalakas nating pwersa sa paniningil ng ating mga karapatan,” they added.

Pride PH thanked everybody who has shown their support for the community as the fight for equal rights is getting larger and stronger.

The organization also promised that this thanksgiving event will be more safe, organized, and fun, and that they had listened to everybody’s feedback.

“Umulan man o umaraw, lalaban tayo para sa pagkakapantay-pantay! See you!” Pride PH said.

Love Laban 2 Everyone, or the Pride PH Festival, was held on June 22, Saturday at the Quezon City Memorial Circle. The event and protest saw more than 200,000 attendees.

However, the event was canceled later that evening due to the strong rains and “compromised sound and electrical systems” for the concert.

Vice Ganda, BINI, Juan Karlos, Ben&Ben, Gloc-9, Denise Julia, Filipino drag artists, and many more were set to perform.

A Pride picnic and film showing is also happening in Rizal Park on Sunday, organized by Metro Manila Pride.
