Pride potluck, film viewing event happening at Rizal Park tomorrow

The Metro Manila Pride organization is holding a fun hangout tomorrow, June 29!

According to the volunteer-managed organization’s Instagram post, Pride Piknik will have a program and other activities, including a film viewing and a potluck portion.

“Kamustahan tayo ng mga naging ganap natin this June at maki-alam sa mga bagay na dapat nating i-#ResbakNa together sa mga darating pang araw,” it said.

The event is free for all and is happening tomorrow, from 2 p.m. to 8 p.m., at the Open Air Auditorium in Rizal Park, Luneta, in Manila. Gates will open at 1 p.m.

Attendees may register through this link.

The Metro Manila Pride organization said that minors with designated guardians are welcome at the event. Fur parents may also bring their pets as long as they keep their fur babies leashed and have diapers or waste bags.

Metro Manila Pride, according to its website, is a non-partisan and not-for-profit organization “dedicated to educating, equipping and empowering the Filipino LGBTQIA+ community to work towards a future that recognizes and respects the rights of persons to a dignified life without discrimination and prejudice.”

Each year, they hold programs ranging from cultural events and educational discussions to the annual Pride March and Festival.
