Thirty-five Filipinos were named on Tatler Asia's Gen.T Leaders of Tomorrow 2024 list, including "Firefly" director Zig Dulay and "Lumpia Queen" Abi Marquez.

Aside from "Firefly," the multi-award-winning Kapuso director is also behind the hit drama-fantasy series "Maria Clara at Ibarra," sci-fi family drama "My Guardian Alien," the upcoming "Widows' War," and more.

Abi, on her end, was nominated at the prestigious James Beard Awards and also bagged a Webby Award this year.

Other Filipino honorees include journalist Patricia Evangelista, analog astronaut Kristine Atienza, Olympic-bound gymnast Aleah Finnegan, vegan and animal rights advocate Christophe Bariou, fashion designer Chris Nick, theater actor Joaquin Pedro Valdes, and GoTyme Bank's Nate Clarke, among others.

The Philippine-based winners were feted in an awards night early this month at Shangri-La The Fort. Per Tatler Asia, the winners also received a personalized cover of Tatler Asia's June 2024 issue, as well as the privilege to access past honorees for networking and collaboration.

The 35 Filipinos join the more than 200 diverse young leaders recognized in this year's list, which comprises artists, entrepreneurs, inventors, civic advocates, athletes, social media influencers, celebrities, and more.

The Gen.T Leaders of Tomorrow list is an annual roster that recognizes personalities and leaders under the age of 40 who are making meaningful change in Asia. However, according to Tatler Asia's website, the honorees are more than just names on a list.

"They're over 200 passionate souls, each embodying the very best of what Asia has to offer. Whether they are founding tech startups or using their creativity for social change, their work embodies the spirit of leadership and excellence that Gen.T stands for," the publication said.

This year's winners were selected by Tatler Asia based on various metrics like business growth, fundraising success, industry awards, disruptive products or services, geographical impact, and more. This year's honorees alone have raised $461 million and have a total following of 21 million.

Two Filipinos were also among the judges of this year's list: celebrity host Tim Yap and Franco Varona of Foxmont Capital Partners. The full list of Tatler Asia's Gen.T Leaders of Tomorrow 2024 may be viewed here.
