Catriona Gray publicly declares faith as she renews Christianity

Catriona Gray publicly declared her renewed faith as she got baptized as a Christian once again.

On Instagram, the Miss Universe 2018 shared a snap from her water baptism at a Christian church on Sunday along with a heartfelt and reflective message.

“A new beginning with Jesus. Glory to God always,” Cat began in the caption.

“So fulfilled to take the step of publicly declaring my faith today. I was baptized as a baby, but wanted to take this action as an adult,” she added.

Ending her post, the Filipina-Australian beauty queen quoted a Bible verse from Romans 6:4 and wrote: “For we died and were buried with Christ by baptism. And just as Christ was raised from the dead by the glorious power of the Father, now we also may live new lives.”

Catriona recently went to Japan with her mom where they enjoyed strolling the dreamy streets of Kyoto and feasting on Japanese food.

These life updates came after Catriona deleted her engagement photo with Sam Milby on Instagram.

Meanwhile, the engagement photo, as well as other couple photos, are still up on Sam's account, making their relationship status unclear at the moment.

Catriona and Sam were last spotted publicly together in April during the birthday celebration of Erickson Raymundo, the founder and president of Cornerstone Entertainment.

In February, Cornerstone Entertainment, the talent agency of Catriona and Sam, released a statement confirming that they are "currently facing some challenges in their relationship."

The couple, who revealed their relationship in 2020, previously said they plan to tie the knot sometime this year after their engagement in 2023.
