Food tasting, venue preparations done ahead of GMA Gala 2024

There’s only a month left before the GMA Gala returns for its third year!

According to Lhar Santiago’s report on “24 Oras,” Thursday, GMA Network executives just had a food tasting activity in preparation for the special Kapuso event.

“Siyempre kailangang paghandaan ito kasi ‘yung feedback natin from last year’s gala is they love the food, so nape-pressure kami, kailangan ganu’n ulit ‘yung feedback and we want to offer them something even better if possible,” Senior Vice President Atty. Annette Gozon-Valdes said.

“I got some successful items that I’m bringing back that you guys loved last year, and I have some new dishes, fresh new dishes,” Marriott Hotel Manila Executive Chef Meik Brammer shared.

A long discussion about the look of the venue, as well as the photo and video coverage of the attendees, was also held.

“For this year, we’re doing something modern and futuristic at tsaka mas bigger siya this year because we’re doing two floors ng Marriott Grand Ballroom to design the red carpet and gala dinner mismo,” events organizer Gideon Hermosa said.

“We prepared very well. Talaga pong nagpi-pre prod kami ng team kasi po hindi biro ‘yung dine-deploy nating team, it’s about 60 to 70 people. Super dami, so dapat talaga well-coordinated everybody,” Charisse Tinio of Nice Print Photography said.

The star-studded GMA Gala was first launched in July 2022 to celebrate GMA Network's 72nd anniversary.

In its second year in 2023, the gala was attended by not only Kapuso personalities but also by Kapamilya artists like Vice Ganda, Anne Curtis, and Joshua Garcia.

GMA Gala also serves as a fundraising event for the benefit of the GMA Kapuso Foundation.
