CCP National Theatre Live returns with world-class plays

The Cultural Center of the Philippines' National Theatre Live (CCP NTL) is returning this June for its second season, promising a lineup of world-class stage plays filmed from Britain's best theater stages.

The NTL first launched in 2009 as a project by the London National Theatre to bring the best of British theatre live to cinemas the world over.

CCP NTL's lineup this second season includes fresh plays and crowd favorites.

The season will premiere on June 25 and will run until May 27, 2025 at Ayala Malls Cinemas in Greenbelt, Makati; Vertis North in Quezon City; and at the Ayala Center in Cebu.

The new award-winning plays that will screen in the Philippines include "Vanya" by Andrew Scott, "Dear England" by James Graham, "Nye" by Tim Price, and "The Motive and the Cue" by Jack Thorne, directed by Sam Mendes.

Crowd favorites from last season will also make a return, such as "Fleabag," written and performed by Phoebe Waller-Bridge; "Frankenstein" by Nick Dear, based on Mary Shelley's novel; "Hamlet," directed by Lyndsey Turner; and "King Lear," directed by Jonathan Munby.

Regular tickets are priced at P300 each in Makati and Cebu, and P350 in Vertis North, while the special ticket price for students costs P150. Groups may also avail the Barkada Pass for P1,200, which includes five tickets, or the Barkada Pass Student bundle priced at P600.
