'Pulang Araw' stars celebrate Independence Day in different cities

The cast of "Pulang Araw" joined different cities in the Philippines in celebrating the country's 126th Independence Day.

According to Jasmin Gabriel-Galban's report on "24 Oras," Wednesday, Barbie Forteza and David Licauco visited Mandaue City Hall Grounds in Cebu.

"Dahil nakapunta kami sa ganitong klaseng event, eh mas makikita mo 'yung true meaning of Independence Day," David said.

Meanwhile, Sanya Lopez led the Pledge of Allegiance to the Philippine Flag at the Batangas Capitol.

Dennis Trillo and Ashley Ortega also joined the flag-raising ceremony in Tarlac City.

World War II," Ashley said.

Alden Richards also went all the way to Davao City and participated in their celebrations.

Earlier this week, the cast proudly raised the Philippine flag ahead of Independence Day.

Barbie also recited a poem about loving and fighting for the country.

The series will make its debut on Netflix on July 26, three days before it airs on GMA Prime.

The "Pulang Araw" cast also includes Rhian Ramos, Epy Quizon, Mikoy Morales, Angelu De Leon, Aidan Veneracion, Rochelle Pangilinan, and more. It is directed by Dominic Zapata.
