Klea Pineda recalls feeling conflicted when watching TV series: 'Ginusto ko ba maging si Darna, or naging crush ko si Darna?'
Klea Pineda was recently featured on Preview magazine's Pride Month cover, where she opened up about being conflicted about her sexuality when watching Filipino TV series.
In the cover story, the Kapuso actress recalled watching teleseryes like "Mulawin," and she expressed confusion about whether or not she could relate more to Angel Locsin or Richard Gutierrez's character.
She also said she got "a little bit more clarity" about her sexuality when she watched the 2009 "Darna" remake starring Marian Rivera.
"[Ginusto] ko ba maging si Darna, or naging crush ko ba si Darna?" she said.
On Instagram, Klea expressed her joy over being part of Preview's Pride Month cover.
"It still feels surreal to be part of Preview's cover story this month alongside inspiring queer icons in the industry!" she said.
"Thank you @previewph for giving us the space to shed light on queer representation!" she added.
Last year, Klea marked her 24th birthday by coming out as gay. In the same month, she publicly introduced Katrice Kierulf, who she met on TikTok, as her girlfriend.
Klea currently appears in top-rating GMA Afternoon Prime "Abot-Kamay Na Pangarap," which airs Mondays to Saturdays at 2:30 p.m. after "It's Showtime."
