"Voltes V: Legacy: The Cinematic Experience" is officially heading to Japan!

TOEI Company just announced that a "Super Electromagnetic Edition" of the film will open in Japanese theaters on October 18.

According to newly launched Japanese website for the "Voltes V: Legacy" project, the film has been re-edited and some scenes not included in the Philippine version have also been added.

"In addition, the quality of the CG scenes, which were impeccable in the original, has been significantly improved through a full-length remastering process," the website said, as translated into English.

Aside from the subtitled version with the original Filipino audio, a Japanese dubbed version will also be released.

"Voltes V: Legacy: The Cinematic Experience" is the film cut of the series' first three weeks. It was released in Philippine cinemas in April 2023.

"Voltes V: Legacy" director Mark Reyes greeted Japanese fans in a video and congratulated them on the announcement of the Japanese release of the film.

"We hope that you will enjoy and feel our love and passion for Voltes V. Let's volt in!" he said.

But wait, there's more!

"Preparations are also underway to bring the original Philippine version of the 90 episodes to Japan, and more will be announced in the future. Please look forward to it!" the website said.

"Voltes V: Legacy" first aired on GMA Prime in May 2023. It is currently enjoying a re-run on GMA Afternoon Prime at 4:30 p.m. after "Fast Talk With Boy Abunda."

The series stars Miguel Tanfelix, Ysabel Ortega, Radson Flores, Matt Lozano, and Raphael Landicho as the five pilots of the Voltes V robot.
