Pasig City kicks off Pride Month with drag show; Pia Wurtzbach, Chelsea Manalo among guests

There’s no better way to usher in Pride Month than witnessing amazing performances from some of the best queer artists in the country.

In Monday’s “Unang Balita” episode, Pride Night, an LGBTQ+ concert held in Pasig City and produced by LoveYourself, was featured on the morning show, highlighting drag performances from Precious Paula Nicole, Brigiding, and Viñas DeLuxe, among others. Pride Night was held over the weekend on Saturday.

Pia Wurtzbach, LoveYourself’s celebrity ambassador, was also present during the event. She was joined by Miss Universe Philippines 2024 Chelsea Manalo, and Miss Supranational Philippines 2024 Tarah Valencia.

Aside from drag performances, the Pride Night event also mounted a Rainbow History Lane, an exhibit that highlighted pivotal moments in LGBTQ+ history.

LoveYourself is a community of volunteers providing free HIV testing, counseling, treatment, and life coaching in the Philippines. Aside from Pia, Miss Universe 2018 Catriona Gray is also a volunteer ambassador of the organization.
