IU's return to PH: 5 highlights from her 'H.E.R.E.H.' show

After five years, IU has finally made it back to the Philippines and held her "H.E.R.E.H." concert in Bulacan on Saturday evening.

The Korean superstar was greeted enthusiastically by her Filipino fans, who were eagerly waiting for her return to the country after almost five years.

Here are five highlights from the show.

1. Gift from IU's mom

Filipino fans were given a special gift from IU's mom, something that she does at shows that her daughter holds.

Each concert attendee was given an IU keychain and a customized purple mini album, which came with three special IU photocards.

2. Tagalog words

IU came in prepared with Tagalog phrases that made the audience scream in delight.

Talking about her mom's special gift, IU said, "Itago n'yo nang mabuti."

On top of that, aside from "mahal kita" and "maraming salamat po," IU also kept on saying "grabe" and "ang galing!"

She also introduced her band in Tagalog.

"Ipapakilala ko ang banda," IU said, followed by "Palakpakan natin nang malakas!"

3. IU's 'Pasilyo' cover

Speaking of Tagalog words and phrases, IU also surprised the crowd with her rendition of SunKissed Lola's "Pasilyo."

She said that she really liked the Filipino song the moment that she first heard it, and after seeing her fans' reactions on her cover, IU said that all of her practices became worth it.

4. Almost 30 songs in three hours

The show started at 6:30 p.m. and ended at 9 p.m.

Within that time span, the soloist performed almost 30 songs, from her opening number, "Holssi," to the final song, "Palette."

5. Promise to return again soon

IU kept on expressing how happy she was to be back in the Philippines that she promised she would be back again soon.

She even said that she wants to come back as soon as next month because that's how happy she was.

Aside from her songs, IU is also an actress and is set to star in the upcoming drama "Thank You for Your Hard Work" alongside Park Bo Gum.

She also starred in "Hotel del Luna" and "Scarlet Heart Ryeo."
