Escolta art market and 'PowerPoint party' await this June
An art market and a "PowerPoint party" are happening soon on Escolta Street this June amid the Pride festivities.
The pop-up Wet Market: Art Market is making a return on June 8, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., at the HUB Make Lab and it promises a zestier and stickier affair!
Look forward to stickers, live portraits, pins, accessories and more art works from over 30 artists, as well as exciting giveaways.
The art market is free admission and will take place alongside Hohol Events' Next Slide Please at the First United Building Museum. The event is a fundraiser for Metro Manila Pride in the form of a "PowerPoint party."
It's self-explanatory; anyone can give a presentation on anything under the theme Pride. Some sample topics include transitioning, the queers and pop culture, intersectionality of the community, Grindr meetups, SOGIESC 101, and more. Speakers will have 10 minutes to present, with topics subject to approval by organizers.
Tickets to Next Slide Please are priced at P300 each for attendees or speakers. It will begin at 1 p.m.
