The Manila Film Festival to screen short films by student filmmakers this June
The Manila Film Festival (TMFF) will be screening eight short films from student filmmakers this June.
TMFF, now on its second edition, aims to support and nurture young independent Filipino filmmakers through film grants, which are awarded to eight outstanding "works-in-progress" in the short form category.
The red carpet premiere of the eight short films in competition will be held on June 4, 9 p.m., at the Metropolitan Theater in Ermita. The films will also be screened at Robinsons Movieworld cinemas, namely Cinema 3 of Robinsons Manila in Ermita from June 5 to 11 and Cinema 3 of Robinsons Magnolia in Quezon City from June 10 to 11.
The student directors' trailer was released on Tuesday.

Aside from the eight short films, four feature directors will also be showing their exhibition short films for TMFF. These are Jose Lorenzo "Pepe" Diokno's "Lumang Tugtugin," Sigrid Bernardo's "May at Nila," Dwein Baltazar's "Nananahan," and JP Habac's "Shortest Day, Longest Night."
The awards night of TMFF will be held on June 11, 6 p.m., at the Metropolitan Theater.
