Fete de la Musique PH to mark 'Big 30' in June return

Fete de la Musique — the biggest, free, multi-stage, live music event in the Philippines — is returning this June just as it celebrates its 30th anniversary in the country.

Fete de la Musique, also known as Music Day, Make Music Day, or World Music Day, began in France in 1982 and has since expanded to over 700 cities and 120 countries.

Fete de la Musique Philippines announced via social media, Monday, that the festival's main stage event will be held on June 21 at Greenbelt 3 Park in Makati. There will also be pocket stages around Makati on June 28.

"You asked, we answered. Save June for #FetePH30," Fete de la Musique Philippines wrote. "We’re bringing the Fête to Makati for all music lovers to enjoy. Yes, all—because, as usual, Fête is free and open to all."

Aside from the main stage and pocket stages in Makati, first-time and seasoned festgoers can also look forward to destination stages in other cities, pre-Fete events, as well as a closing party.

Fete de la Musique Philippines has yet to release the official dates for the destination stages, as well as details on the bands and performers gracing this year's event.

Fete de la Musique kicked off last year on June 16, with main and pocket stages across the Philippines. It was the festival's second face-to-face event following two years of virtual events amid the health crisis.
