Michelle Dee concludes 7-year pageantry journey: 'Filipinas, maraming salamat!'
Ahead of the coronation night of Miss Universe Philippines 2024, Michelle Dee took to social media to conclude her reign and wrap up her seven-year pageantry journey.
On Instagram, the Kapuso beauty queen hopped on the "Piliin Mo Ang Pilipinas" trend with an execution similar to her Hello Universe challenge entry.
In the video, Michelle stood in front of the SM Mall of Asia globe, but this time, instead of saying, "Hello Universe," she said, "Hello Filipinas!"
The globe then flashed some highlights from Michelle's reign as Miss Universe Philippines, followed by a clip of the beauty queen in Buscalan, holding hands with Apo Whang-Od, the legendary tattoo artist who inspired her evening gown in the international pageant.
"The final moments of a transformational reign and a closing chapter of an amazing 7-year pageant journey," Michelle said in the caption.
“#FILIPINAS maraming salamat!” she added. "I'll see you all on stage later! This is it."
Michelle is set to crown her successor at the live coronation of Miss Universe Philippines 2024 on Wednesday night at the SM Mall of Asia Arena.
Michelle finished in the Top 10 of Miss Universe 2023 in El Salvador and won three special awards: Best in National Costume, a gold winner of Voice for Change, and a recipient of the Spirit of Carnival Award.
You set the bar too high, Michelle! We are forever proud of you!
