Miss Universe Philippines 2024 stage glitters in gold on preliminary night

The preliminary competition for the much-anticipated Miss Universe Philippines 2024 is all set!

On Instagram Stories, event stylist Tei Endencia unveiled the stage's setup, which he transformed into a golden "masTEIpiece" for Sunday night.

Gold and glossy black dominated the stage; a silver Miss Universe logo is displayed at the center, the image of which reflected on the stage's floor.

Fifty-three Filipina candidates from the Philippines and across the world will be vying for the Miss Universe Philippines 2024 crown.

Among these candidates are “pageant repeaters” Ahtisa Manalo, who will be representing her hometown Quezon Province, and Rizaleña beauty queen Stacey Gabriel.

This year’s pageant will also introduce a fresh batch of candidates, such as Iloilo representative Alexie Brooks.

The preliminary competition is held at the Fiesta Pavilion of The Manila Hotel in Ermita, with reigning Miss Universe Philippines 2023 Michelle Dee and Marco Gumabao serving as the hosts.

A delayed telecast of the preliminary interviews and the preliminary gala night will be available on May 20 at 12 p.m. and 6 p.m., respectively, via the Empire.PH YouTube channel.

Meanwhile, the coronation night is set to happen on Wednesday, May 22, at the SM Mall of Asia Arena at 8 p.m.

Tickets for the event are still available on the SM Tickets website. Prices range from P499 for General Admission seats up to P9,950 for VIP 1 section.

The winner of the Miss Universe 2024 pageant will represent the country at the international pageant in Mexico later this year.
