Miss Universe Philippines 2024: Everything you need to know about this year’s pageant
The Miss Universe Philippines 2024 will hold its preliminary competition on Sunday, May 19, at The Manila Hotel and its highly-anticipated coronation night on Wednesday, May 22, at the SM Mall of Asia Arena.
Miss Universe Philippines 2023 Michelle Dee will crown her successor, who will represent the Philippines at the international pageant in Mexico later this year.
Ahead of the coronation night, we present to you a quick guide on everything you need to know about this year’s competition.
1. 53 candidates
Fifty-three beautiful Filipina candidates from the Philippines and across the world will be vying for the Miss Universe Philippines 2024 crown.
Among these candidates are “pageant repeaters” Ahtisa Manalo, who will be representing her hometown Quezon Province, and Rizaleña beauty queen Stacey Gabriel.
This year’s pageant will also introduce a fresh batch of candidates, such as Iloilo representative Alexie Brooks.
2. Preliminary competition
Ahead of the coronation night, the 53 candidates are set to take the stage for the pageant’s preliminary competition on Sunday at 7 p.m.
The preliminary competition will be held at the Fiesta Pavilion of The Manila Hotel in Ermita, with reigning queen Michelle and Marco Gumabao serving as the hosts.
Tickets are priced at P1,500 for Premium, and P1,000 for Regular. These are available for purchase at the venue.

3. National crowns
Aside from the highly-coveted Miss Universe Philippines crown, four more national crowns will be given out this year.
These are the Miss Supranational Philippines crown, the Miss Charm Philippines crown, the Miss Eco International Philippines crown, and the Miss Cosmo Philippines crown.
These will be bestowed in a separate event following the Miss Universe Philippines coronation night on Wednesday.
4. Meet the hosts
This year’s coronation night will be hosted by Alden Richards, Gabbi Garcia, Tim Yap, Miss Universe 2022 R'Bonney Gabriel, and American TV presenter Jeannie Mai.
5. Exciting performances
The Miss Universe Philippines 2024 is looking to be an exciting event as there will be performances from both Filipino and international acts.
Confirmed performers at the coronation night are “RuPaul's Drag Race: UK vs. The World” top 4 queen Marina Summers, OPM band Lola Amour, and Thai actor Win Metawin.
6. Where to watch the coronation night
The coronation night will be held at the SM Mall of Asia Arena on Wednesday at 8 p.m.
Tickets for the event are still available on the SM Tickets website. Prices range from P499 for General Admission seats up to P9,950 for VIP 1 section.
