Bianca King opens up on challenges living in Australia
Bianca King opened up on how the first few years of her life in Australia looked like.
In Nelson Canlas' report in "24 Oras Weekend," Sunday, the actress said that settling in Australia was an accident, as she was caught on lockdown during the pandemic.
It was where she eventually got married to her husband Ralph Wintle and gave birth to their daughter Sadie.
Despite happily with settling down with her own family, Bianca admitted that she had encountered many challenges in the past years and one of them was dealing with postpartum depression.
"During pregnancy that was a different story. I think postpartum was an entirely different story as well. it wasn't the easiest experience for me and motherhood in the earliest days of postpartum is so isolating already," she said.
"Ilagay mo 'yung isang babae sa isang foreign country na walang pamilya, walang close friends nearby. It was very tough for me," Bianca added.
The celebrity mom also shared that she and Ralph had to move out from their Sydney home when Sadie came as their rent became more expensive.
But despite everything that happened, Bianca came out of the darkness and tried to live her life again with her daughter.
"I just have to remain grateful that this is the kind of life that she was born into. Ganito ang hangin na nai-inhale niya every single day," she shared.
Despite being a family woman, Bianca said that she also allots time for her personal well-being such as doing her hobbies of pilates and pottery making.
"There comes a point also that you have to strike a balance. Mama has to fill her cup. Hindi naman puwedeng puro family na lang and napapabayaan mo na 'yung mga interests mo and hobbies mo," Bianca said.
When asked what she misses the most about the Philippines, Bianca answered: "Of course my friends, my work. I miss just being able to get into a car and drive to the beach. Nagagawa din naman dito pero ang lamig ng tubig. I miss tropical waters."
Bianca married Ralph in 2021. They announced they were expecting their first child in August 2022 and welcomed the baby in March of last year.
Ralph is the brother of Iza Calzado's husband Ben Wintle.
