Cam Lagmay is Quezon City's new candidate for Miss Universe Philippines 2024

Miss Universe Philippines - Quezon City announced that a new candidate will be representing the city in the upcoming national pageant.

On social media, MUPh - Quezon City said that Cam Lagmay was crowned the city's new titleholder.

"When you're meant for greatness, even the universe conspires to make it happen," MUPh - Quezon City said.

"To Cam Lagmay, thank you for taking on this journey to represent Quezon City. Your strength and commitment to your cause is truly inspiring, reminding us that stars light the universe not just by shining independently, but when they shine together in one sky."

Cam is the first runner-up of the Quezon City local pageant held last February.

Last week, MUPh - Quezon City announced the withdrawal of Lorraine Ojimba from joining the national pageant due to "personal matters."

Lorraine was the third candidate to withdraw from the upcoming pageant, after Kananga's Natasha Jung and Angeles City's Joanne Thornley.

Kananga also named a new candidate, Phoebe Arrianna Veloso Torita.

The Miss Universe Philippines 2024 coronation night is happening on May 22 at the Mall of Asia Arena.

Reigning queen Michelle Dee will crown her successor, who will represent the country in the international pageant in Mexico.
