Lola Amour drops audio teaser of upcoming song 'Umiinit'
Lola Amour is at it again with weather-related songs!
The OPM band just dropped an audio teaser for their song, "Umiinit," the first track of their upcoming self-titled album.
Posted on X, the 34-second clip featured clapping and a funky electric guitar solo which build up to Lola Amour's signature wind instruments.
It also included lyrics of the song, which includes the lines, "Di na makapigil, hindi mapakali, 'sing init ng umaga, malakas pa sa kape, kating-kati, hindi makamot, hanggang umaabot sa buwan 'pag lumiyab na ang sahig, aba'y walang sisihan."
Lola Amour released the teaser after a netizen jokingly tagged them in a rant about the summer heat. Other netizens saw "Umiinit" in their album track list and teasingly blamed them about causing the hot weather.
The joke is a reference to their mega-hit song "Raining in Manila," which waves not only among Filipino fans but also among K-pop idols last year. Incidentally, it kept raining for days after the song became popular.
The band also performed the song in Coldplay's concert back in January.
Lola Amour recently announced the departure of their bassist, Raymond King, from the band. However, the band clarified that he still worked on their upcoming album.
Manu Dumayas will take over his role as the band's bassist.
Lola Amour will release their self-titled album on April 10. It will include "Raining in Manila" and their recently dropped single "Namimiss Ko Na."
