Saudi Arabia to make Miss Universe debut in upcoming pageant

Saudi Arabia is set to make its debut on the Miss Universe stage!

The country will be represented by its first-ever Miss Universe queen, Rumy Alqahtani, who shared the exciting news on her Instagram account.

"Honored to participate in Miss Universe 2024," Rumy wrote in Arabic.

Rumy is a fashion model who has also previously represented Saudi Arabia in other pageants, including Miss Planet International, Miss Global Asia, and more.

Other countries are also gearing up for the 73rd Miss Universe pageant, which is happening in Mexico later this year.

This includes New Zealand, which will be represented by Filipina-Kiwi actress Franki Russell .

Meanwhile, the Philippines is also set to crown a new Miss Universe Philippines queen soon.

The organization has been introducing this year's candidates on social media, releasing their official headshots , evening gown photos , swimsuit photos , and also their introduction videos .
