Bohol artist to receive Leonardo Da Vinci International Prize Award in Italy

A visual artist based in Bohol is set to be honored with the prestigious Leonardo Da Vinci International Prize Award.

According to a report on "Unang Balita" on Friday, Elvin Perocho Vitor will head to Italy for the awarding on April 13.

He is recognized for his painting of fellow fellow Boholano artist and environmentalist Pedro Angco.

Elvin is known for his hyperrealism artworks. In an interview with GMA Regional TV, he said that his works are an "exaltation of the Boholano heritage, arts, culture, traditional wisdom, antiquity and ancestry." —JCB, GMA Integrated News
