PH bet Gwendolyne Fourniol makes early exit in Miss World pageant
Philippine bet Gwendolyne Fourniol made an early exit in the Miss World pageant after failing to secure a spot in the Top 40 during the coronation night held in India on Saturday.
The Filipina-French beauty queen was gunning for the second Miss World crown after Megan Young, who won the title in 2013 and who was also tapped as one of the presenters of this year's pageant.
Prior to the coronation night, Gwendolyne showed an impressive performance in the pre-pageant activities, making it to the top 23 of the Talent Competition, the top 25 of the Head to Head Challenge, and also qualified for the Sports Challenge Final.
During the pageant's national costume competition, Gwendolyne proudly wore Ilonggo textile, which is a "representation of the Filipina's craft spirit of dignity, growth, and joy."
She took home the Miss World Philippines crown in 2022 representing her mother's hometown, Negros Occidental.
