Ruru Madrid surprised Bianca Umali with a farm getaway for her birthday

Ruru Madrid took his girlfriend, Bianca Umali, on a surprise farm getaway on her birthday!

In Aubrey Carampel's report on "24 Oras," Wednesday, Ruru said that it also served as a chance for them to take a break.

"Parang at least makapahinga rin, makahinga. Parang ito na 'yung chance namin na magkaroon ng quality time together with her family din," Ruru said.

"This year, it's different. It was made extra special by Ruru and my family because they set something up for me. They brought me somewhere far, to a farm, and nandun pala silang lahat," Bianca said.

Bianca, who turned 24 over the weekend, is set to star in "Sang'gre" with Faith da Silva, Angel Guardian, and Kelvin Miranda.

"So far, everything has been so good. Exciting kahit na matagal siyang gawin, pero alam mong tama na matagal siyang gawin kasi dahil hindi siya pwedeng madaliin. Hindi siya pwedeng basta-basta and kina-career talaga," Bianca said.

Ruru is also starring in the action-packed series "Black Rider."

The longtime couple most recently starred together in "The Write One."
