Celebrity makeup artist Jelly Eugenio gives tips to achieve natural-looking brows
Jelly Eugenio, a Filipino makeup artist whose portfolio includes Catriona Gray, Solenn Heussaff, and Nadine Lustre, revealed a few of his tricks for achieving natural-looking brows for his celebrity clientele.
In the recent Benefit Brow Ball event, Jelly gave a quick demonstration using Benefit's latest brow makeup innovations, the Precisely, My Brow Detailer, and Precisely, My Brow Wax.
According to the makeup artist, one of his secrets to making brows look natural with makeup is to follow the direction of your hair strokes instead of making your own shape.
"I'm honoring [the shape of one's natural] eyebrows instead of copying another person's brow shape," he said.
Another tip is to never overdo drawing on your brows, which according to Jelly, is a common mistake among makeup enthusiasts.
"Your eyebrow makeup should be inside your eyebrows and not outside them," he said.
"A lot of people's mistake is adding more products to the brows until it won't look natural anymore," he added.
Jelly also shared that what he likes most about the Precisely, My Brow Detailer is how small it is. It has a tip of 0.88mm, the smallest in the market.
"It copies how my hair looks like," he said. "This gives me the most natural, hair-like strokes."
