Pasig River Esplanade showcases a picturesque Manila at night

The newly opened Pasig River Esplanade is the newest attraction in Metro Manila.

As seen in Dano Tingcungco's report on "24 Oras Weekend," Sunday, the esplanade features a view of the Jones Bridge and dazzling fountain lights, showcasing a picturesque Manila at night.

Some sculptures of the cultural dance Pandango sa Ilaw were also added.

Some netizens can't help but compare its beauty to some cities in Europe, especially Italy. It also became a dating spot for some love birds who enjoyed the quiet ambiance.

Aside from its night view, the esplanade's view during the day is also a stunner as people will be welcomed by the sight of the Pasig River.

The esplanade also featured benches and a terrace, a perfect place to relax.

At the back of the esplanade is the historical Manila Central Post Office that still stands tall after being caught in the fire last year.

According to the Department of Tourism, a P15 million fund was allotted to restore the post office.

The Pasig River Esplanade is part of the Pasig River Urban Development Project to restore the Pasig River and its surroundings.
