GMA Kapuso foundation inaugurates classrooms in Kidapawan for Manobo students

Despite not having a proper classroom, the Manobo students of Kidapawan are full of dreams and still eager to go to school.

Just in time for Christmas, the GMA Kapuso Foundation inaugurated two Kapuso classrooms for the students at Lake Agco Integrated School and Sumayahon Elementary School in Kidapawan.

Give-a-Gift bags were also distributed to the students.

“Nung nagtayo tayo dito talagang sinigurado natin aabot hanggang intensity 8 ang kayang i-withstand ng ating school,” said GMA Kapuso Foundation Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Office Rikki Escudero-Catibog.

[When we built this, we really made sure that our school can withstand up to intensity 8.]

A handwashing facility that can be operated by a foot pedal was also set up.

“Ang kagandahan nito ay foot pedal para maiwasan ang pagkalat ng germs and viruses, meron din itong footbath,” shared Reginald Andal, Executive Director of the Manila Water Foundation.

[The good thing about it is it has a foot pedal to prevent the spread of germs and viruses, and it also has a footbath.]

These projects wouldn’t be possible without the support of GMA Kapuso Foundation’s partners.
