Residents affected by flooding in Northern Samar receive relief goods from GMA Kapuso Foundation

Nearly 8,000 residents affected by the flooding in Northern Samar received relief goods from GMA Kapuso Foundation.

According to “24 Oras,” Wednesday, among those who received assistance were a couple still in the process of cleaning their house, which had been covered in mud due to the heavy rains caused by the shearline.

[I’m so sad because our house was almost covered in mud, and I don't know what to do first. We were so scared that we didn't even notice that some of our belongings were left behind.]

Crispina said that they were also heavily affected in 2018 when Bagyong Usman hit the country.

Tapos wala po kami doon pagkain,” she said.

[I still feel the fear that we might be reached, unsure of what will happen to us. Also, we didn't have any food there.]

Under Operation Bayanihan, GMA Kapuso Foundation delivered relief goods, vitamins, and soap to nearly 8,000 residents in Lope de Vega.

[Thank you, Kapuso GMA, for your constant assistance to us. We will not forget your kindness, the help you extended to us.]

For those who are interested to help, GMA Kapuso Foundation is accepting donations through bank deposits, Cebuana Lhuillier, GCash, Shopee, PayMaya, Zalora, MegaMart, Globe Rewards, Metrobank credit card, and Lazada.
