Michelle Dee takes a crack at Miss Universe 2023 final question, answers Apo Whang-Od

If you're wondering how Michelle Dee would have answered the final question in Miss Universe 2023, this is it.

On Monday's episode of "Fast Talk with Boy Abunda," Michelle took a crack at the question, "If you could live one year in another woman's shoes, who would you choose and why?"

She answered the question in less than 45 seconds and the woman she chose was none other than the inspiration for her final gown, Apo Whang-Od.

"If I could choose to live in any woman's shoes, it would be Apo Whang-Od. She's an amazing symbol of cultural preservation. She's an amazing symbol of ageism. She has been defying boundaries, stereotypes, and that is something that I have tried to inspire everybody around me as well, which is to own your unique story, own your traditions, love where you came from, love who you're with, who you're surrounded with," Michelle answered. 

"And truly, with that unique story, you can make your country proud. You can show the universe what your country has to offer. In my case, my love for my country can shake the whole universe as well," she added.

Michelle finished her Miss Universe 2023 journey in the Top 10. She won four special awards, including the Spirit of Carnival Award, the Miss Universe's fan vote, Voice for Change, and Best in National Costume.
