Michelle Dee among 3 gold medalists of Miss Universe 2023 'Voice for Change' competition
Michelle Dee is among the three gold medalists of the Miss Universe 2023 Voice for Change video competition.
A collaboration between Mouawad, CI Talks, and the Miss Universe Organization, the video competition aims to highlight the beauty queens' advocacies to help them create a brighter and more compassionate world.
With two brothers on the autism spectrum, Michelle Dee brought with her to Miss Universe her long-term advocacy for autism awareness. She is the ambassador of the Autism Society Philippines (ASP).
During the national costume competition, Michelle wore a special detail that carried her advocacy message.
Underneath the country's tourism #LovethePhilippines, is a drawing of a jeepney that had two passengers, a Philippine flag, and one of her hashtags #Dee5tiny.
Michelle revealed in her Instagram Stories that the two passengers were her sibling with autism disorder, a salute to her personal advocacy that she took to her Miss Universe journey and helped her become one of the 10 silver finalists of the Voice for Change challenge.
The other two gold medalists are Miss Angola and Miss Puerto Rico.
Michelle ended her Miss Universe 2023 journey in the Top 10.
The 73rd Miss Universe pageant is being held at the José Adolfo Pineda Arena in San Salvador, El Salvador. The winner will be crowned with Mouawad's "Force for Good" crown by reigning queen R'Bonney Gabriel.
