Ahead of Miss Universe 2023 coronation event, Michelle Dee goes on video call with Pia Wurtzbach

Despite not being able to fly to El Salvador for this year’s Miss Universe coronation, Pia Wurtzbach made sure Michelle Dee is feeling her love and support. 

In her Instagram broadcast channel, the Kapuso beauty queen shared a screenshot of her video call with the Miss Universe 2015 titleholder.

Michelle did not share further details on what they talked about, but they were both smiling in the photo.

As of writing, the photo has received over 14,000 reactions from Michelle’s “Hey, MMDVERSE!” broadcast channel members.

Clearly, Pia is doing good on her word. Earlier, she said that she will be unable to physically watch this year’s pageant due to work commitments, but she is "supporting our girl from afar."

She is the latest in the beauty queen sisterhood who has voiced their support for Michelle. Catriona Gray has just met up with Michelle at rehearsals. Rabiya Mateo has already called Michelle Miss Universe, and Beatrice Gomez has encouraged her Instagram followers to vote for Michelle.

Our girl is doing wonderfully, making waves in an emerald green evening gown and a sizzling red swimsuit during the preliminaries.

For her national costume, Michelle paid tribute to the Filipino weaving culture and highlighted her role as an Air Force reservist.
