Catriona Gray reveals special meaning of silver suitcase she brought to El Salvador
Catriona Gray just landed in El Salvador and she brought with her a silver luggage bearing the Philippine flag.
In an Instagram post, Cat said the luggage, which was given to her by fashion designer Mak Tumang, reminds her of her time competing for Miss Universe back in 2018.
"For the two weeks in Thailand, locked inside were the Ibong Adarna gown and the Lava Gown!” Catriona said in her caption.
She added, “Can’t believe it’s almost been five years!”
Upon arriving in El Salvador, Catriona went straight to Miss Universe rehearsals. She is serving as backstage correspondent to the Miss Universe coronation event, which will take place on Sunday (Philippine time).
On the caption of her post, Cat asked, “Who’s your bet, Universe?”
Catriona was crowned Miss Universe in 2018 and five years later, Michelle Dee is trying to do the same.
She has performed exceptionally well in the preliminaries, looking elegant in her an emerald green Mark Bumgarner evening gown, and sizzling hot in a red swimsuit. Cat even called Michelle's performance, "solid."
For the National Costume show, Michelle paid tribute to Filipino weaving culture and highlighted her role as an Air Force Reservist.
She is vying for the Philippines’ fifth Miss Universe crown with an advocacy for autism awareness. Michelle was among the 10 silver finalists of the Miss Universe Voice for Change video competition.
