Jessica Soho is the Global Awardee for Journalism at the 13th TOFA Awards in Los Angeles, California

Here's another feather in Jessica Soho's cap! 

The Kapuso veteran journalist was hailed the Global Awardee for Journalism at the 13th The Outstanding Filipino Awards (TOFA). The awarding event took place at the Zipper Concert Hall in Los Angeles, California. 

On Facebook, the official page of "Kapuso Mo, Jessica Soho (KMJS)" shared photos of Ma'am Jess at the event, holding her trophy and taking posing for photos with media personality Boy Abunda and ABS-CBN's former news head Ging Reyes.  

"Maraming salamat po sa 13th Annual TOFA Awards para sa pagkilala sa ating host na si Ms. Jessica Soho bilang Global Awardee for Journalism para sa kanyang natatanging kontribusyon sa larangan ng pamamahayag," KMJS wrote on Facebook.

The recognition given to Jessica Soho follows the nomination her show, KMJS, received last September at the 5th Asia Contents Awards & Global OTT Awards for the story "Sugar ng Pangungulila."

Jessica Soho and KMJS are consistently recognized by award-giving bodies at home and around the world. In April, KMJS won a gold medal at the prestigious New York Festivals for the story “Wounds of Woes,” about a 14-year-old boy named Daxen, who has a skin condition called Toxic Epidermal Necrolysis, a reaction of the body towards certain drugs. It was learned that Daxen’s condition was due to the medicine he takes for seizures. Daxen was cared for by his aunt while his mother worked as an OFW in Singapore. 

In 2022, KMJS became the first-ever winner of the Top Media Publisher trophy at the TikTok Awards, as Ma'am Jess recognized at the Reader's Digest Trusted Brand Awards as one of the most trusted news personalities.

In the same year, the story "Ranelyn's Dress" which aired on KMJS won the bronze medal at New York Festivals.

In 2021, the show was named Best Magazine Show at the 34th PMPC Star Awards for TV.
