Kamikazee sent home without performing in Sorsogon fiesta

Kamikazee did not get to perform in an event celebrating the fiesta of Casiguran, Sorsogon.

As seen in Ian Cruz's report on "24 Oras," Monday, Sorsogon governor Boboy Hamor went up the stage to explain that he has already sent them home.

"Sana naintindihan n'yo hindi ko gusto 'to. Kaso sinabi ko nga may attitude. di na 'yon makakabalik sa akin maniwala kayo sa akin," he said.

"Maraming banda, maraming banda na gustong magpasaya sa atin. pero kung ganoon naman ang ugali, pasensyahan tayo," he added.

Hamor said the band was already paid even before their performance.

"Pinauwi ko na, di ko na patitirahin sa residencia. Pinauwi ko na sa airport. doon sila mag-umaga," he said.

"Inuuulit ko, hindi tayo puwedeng bastusin na taga Sorsogon. Pinipilit ko naitaas ang dignidad ng bawat Sorsoganon."

According to Dong Mendoza, Public Information Officer of Sorsogon, the governor got angry when Kamikazee refused to take photos in the 16,000 blue roses attraction.

He said the band initially agreed to do so but did not go to the venue during the day of the pictorial.

GMA Integrated News is trying to reach out to Kamikazee for their side. Hamor declined to be interviewed.

Kamikazee is a OPM band popular for their song "Narda." The band is composed of Jay Contreras, Jomal Linao, Led Tuyay, Jason Astete, Allan Burdeos, Jian Lubiano, Mikki Jill.
