Samantha Bernardo reacts as Miss Universe removes age limit
Samantha Bernardo might just be returning to pageantry!
On Instagram, Wednesday, the beauty queen shared a photo of her reaction to the Miss Universe Organization's move to remove the age limit for its candidates.
In the photo, Sam can be seen sitting on a chair in deep thought.
"Me: after the announcement of @missuniverse," she wrote in the caption.
Her post made her followers excited, many of them encouraging her to go for it.
"Ilaban mo ulit queen ito na 'yun!" one fan said.
"Hoping you'll consider joining for one last time, Sam. I could really see fans rallying behind you, just like how we rallied behind Cat before," another said.
Sam, 30, last competed in the Miss Grand International 2020, where she finished first runner-up.
Shortly after, she announced that she would no longer be joining beauty pageants, citing her age and new goals.
Previously, the Miss Universe only allowed women aged 18 to 28 to compete.
The pageant started making changes to its eligibility rules last year. Starting this year's competition, married women and mothers can now join Miss Universe.
