Susan Enriquez remembers times she and Mike Enriquez get mistaken for husband and wife

In remembering her colleague Mike Enriquez, Susan Enriquez spoke about how frequently they got mistaken for husband and wife.

In an interview with PEP.ph, Susan said she and Mike often got that question in their work.

"Madalas kaming napagkakamalang mag-asawa. Idinadaan ko na lang sa 'Ay, naku, kung asawa ko 'yan, hindi na ako magtatrabaho!'" she said.

"Hanggang ngayon, napagkakamalang mag-asawa kami."

Susan said she and Mike just happened to have the same surname.

"Marami nang beses na sinagot namin 'yan sa mga presscon, lagi talaga, 'Kayo po ba ay mag-asawa?'" she said. "Sa radyo nga, 'Asawa n'yo po ba si Mike?'"

Susan, along with GMA Integrated News reporter Raffy Tima and DZBB radio broadcaster Joel Reyes Zobel, appeared on "Fast Talk With Boy Abunda" on Wednesday and further reminisced about their late colleague.

They hailed his work ethic and dedication to the journalism profession, as well as his generosity and wisdom.

Mike passed away on Tuesday at 71 years old.

His fellow "24 Oras" anchors, Mel Tiangco and Vicky Morales, became emotional on air as the newscast announced his death.

Media personalities, government officials, and the Filipino public mourned his passing and expressed condolences to his bereaved family.
