Alden Richards shares financial tips with fellow Sparkle stars in masterclass

Alden Richards held a masterclass to give his fellow Sparkle stars some advice in handling their finances.

According to Nelson Canlas's report on "24 Oras," Wednesday, the Asia's Multimedia Star shared his experiences in managing his hard-earned money in an almost two-hour session.

Aside from being an actor, Alden is also a producer and handles some food businesses.

Although he admitted that he is not a financial adviser, Alden reminded his co-stars, "Walang investment na 'pasok ka ng 10,000 after one month, 50,000 na yan.' Don't fall for that."

Alden also said it's important to be knowledgeable about any venture they want to pursue.

The actor said the seminar is his way to giveback to GMA and his younger colleagues in the industry.

"Para kahit papaano meron silang knowledge dun sa tatahakin nilang journey kasi nung nagsimula naman ako kagaya din ako nila eh," Alden said.

His talk received good feedback from Sparkle stars.

"Marami po pag  nakakuha na ng first paycheck, ginagastos po kaagad so I want to be able to invest my money in a good way," Josh Ford said.

"Since second year ko pa lang in showbiz, medyo nakakaipon na din and I don’t want din my finances to go to things na wala lang pang enjoy lang or maging stagnant," Rain Matienzo added.

Alden plans to continue sharing the lessons he has learned in over a decade of being in the industry.

"Kahit nararamdaman ko na sumi-senior sa mga ganitong  commitments but I owe it to them. Kahit papaano, I think, this is my way of helping these kids," he said.

"Ang sarap lang kasing i-share 'yung talagang 'yung journey ko na pinagdaanan in this industry and sana, kahit papaano, hindi man 'yung kabuuan 'yung matutunan nila, at least may ma-take home sila kahit papaano."

Alden is working on an upcoming film titled "A Mother and Son's Story" with Sharon Cuneta. He also finished shooting a film with Julia Montes titled "Five Break-ups and a Romance."

Miles Ocampo, Tonton Gutierrez, and Sharon's longtime friend Jackie Lou Blanco are also part of the cast.
