8 barangays in La Trinidad, Benguet receive food packs from GMA Kapuso Foundation

Eight barangays in La Trinidad, Benguet received food packs from GMA Kapuso Foundation following Typhoon Egay’s impact.

According to “24 Oras,” report on Friday, lettuce and bokchoy are some of the main crops residents plant in Barangay Shilan.

But due to the continuous rains, landslides, and damages brought by the typhoon, crops including lettuce and bokchoy are no longer useful.

To help farmers whose livelihoods were affected, GMA Kapuso Foundation, under Operation Bayanihan, gave food packs to eight barangays in La Trinidad.

For those who are interested to help, the GMA Kapuso Foundation is accepting donations through bank deposits, Cebuana Lhuillier, GCash, Shopee, PayMaya, Zalora, MegaMart, Globe Rewards, Metrobank credit card, and Lazada.
